Dr. Subhash Gumber

Dr. Subhash Gumber is the Medical Director of Carolina’s GI Research. Dr. Gumber holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Washington State University in Pullman and earned his M.D. from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. He later went on to do a fellowship at Harvard Medical School and focused his work on gastroenterology and hematology. His medical interests include high-risk colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreaticobiliary diseases.

Throughout his career, he has continued to engage in medical education by serving as the Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program at the East Carolina School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director for the Gastroenterology Division of Wake Endoscopy Center.
