Personal information that is voluntarily entered into this site will only be used by Carolina’s GI Research. Our policy is to maintain all personal information as confidential and to use it only for the purpose for which it was submitted.
Carolina’s GI Research never shares or sells your personally identifiable information with any company or organization. From the time of your entrance into a clinical trial, you will only be identified by initials and a unique number to parties outside of Carolina’s GI Research that are participating in the conduct of the study. Your non-identifiable medical information will be given only to the sponsor of the trial and their employees or contractors, and will only be used for study purposes.
By registering on this website, you give us permission to contact you, using the contact information given, regarding enrolling studies that may be of interest to you based on the data that you provided. We may contact you periodically when we find one or more studies in the future that we feel you may be interested in and may qualify for. The information submitted by you is safely stored in a secure database that is protected from unauthorized access.
Submitting your information through this website does not guarantee selection for a trial. If you are eligible to participate based on the criteria set out by the sponsor developing the drug that is being tested, you will be contacted to provide additional information and provide informed consent.
If you already submitted your information, and wish to be removed from our database, please notify us by calling our main telephone number or emailing us with this request.
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) controls the collection, use and distribution of individually identifiable health information by certain health care providers, called “covered entities” under the statute. All of the services provided by Carolina’s GI Research are HIPAA compliant.
